At the time of her death she was also the tallest woman in world medical history, a record that stood for the next sixty years. In March 1922, Jane stood 2.31 m (7 ft 7 in) tall, in her final measurement taken when she was alive. It was estimated that she would have been 2.41 m (7 ft 11 in), if she had not developed the spinal curvature.
